Expression of Interest – TTT Day Flag Official

– Attention HRCC Members

Do you have a Partner, Family, Friend or Workmate, who is having a run at the TTT Day??

Saturday 17th February @ Morgan Park Raceway, Warwick

Hi to Members of Historic Racing Car Club (Qld) Inc.,

During some recent discussions with the Organising Committee for the TTT & Super Sprint Weekend, a suggestion was made that some HRCC members may be interested in finding out more about the role of a Trackside Official, and what the “View might be Like“ when trackside at 1 of the 10 or more Flag Posts around Morgan Park Raceway.

Its the BEST SEAT in the House unless youre a DRIVER

With this in mind, we would like to extend an invitation to members to see how many would like to take up the opportunity to join our Flag Post Officials during the Try, Test & Training session on Saturday 17 February:

  • Sign on at Flag Marshalls Briefing
  • Be taken to the Flag Post with a Qualified Motorsport Australia Official
  • Available to 10 Members in the Morning
  • Available to 10 Members in the Afternoon
  • Get an understanding on what is the Flag Official Role & Responsibilities
  • Get close to the trackside action for a closer look what a driver experiences around Morgan Park.

WHAT TO DO NOW:

These opportunities of Try, Train and Test are usually only seen as an opportunity for a driver and their car, but we feel this innovation to extend it to our HRCC Members in the role of a Flag Post Official might have some interest.

If you are keen to join in, email your Expression of Interest to:

Paul Clemens – HRCC TTT Organising Committee

paul.a.clemens@bigpond.com or 0498 356 568 “as soon as possible” so we can take care of the Motorsport Australia paperwork, so you can sign on the day and get you “Trackside”.

If you are qualified and would like to flag or assist at any level across the weekend at this event or others in 2024, we would love to hear from you too.

Look forward to hearing from you soon as this will be the first of many great weekends working alongside Historic Racing Car Club (Qld) Inc.

See you Track Side soon.

Best Regards,

Brian Henderson
